These terms govern your use of the Signstr app and your purchase of NostrKey cards from signstr.com. By using our products, you agree to these terms.
Signstr is a trading name of Gridmark Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER]). Registered address: [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
Signstr is provided free of charge. The app stores your Nostr private key (nsec) encrypted on your device. We do not have access to your key and cannot recover it if lost.
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for loss of access to your Nostr identity resulting from device loss, software failure, or user error.
The NostrKey card stores your Nostr private key on a secure element chip and performs cryptographic signing on-card. The private key never leaves the chip.
The card is PIN protected. If you forget your PIN and exhaust all attempts, the card is permanently locked. There is no recovery process. We cannot unlock your card. We strongly recommend maintaining a separate backup of your nsec.
Signstr signs Nostr events on your behalf. We are not responsible for the content of events you sign or broadcast.
NostrKey cards are priced at GBP 14.99 including UK shipping. We accept card payments (via Stripe) and Bitcoin (Lightning and on-chain via BTCPay Server).
Cards ship from the UK via Royal Mail in a plain envelope with no external branding. International shipping is available. Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel your order from the date you receive the goods. To cancel, contact us at support@signstr.com.
Returned cards must be unused and in their original condition. If a card has been initialised (PIN set or key imported), it cannot be returned for security reasons.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
The Signstr app source code is available under the GPL-3.0 licence. The NostrKey card runs the Satochip applet, licensed under AGPLv3. Source code is available at github.com/hushchip.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gridmark Technologies Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Signstr or NostrKey cards. This includes but is not limited to loss of Nostr identity, loss of access to accounts, or financial loss.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
